6H Poem Work

Hi guys!

Recently, 6H students have been asked to make a Friendship writing & a poem about the Hiroshima bombing on August 6th, 1945. Then we were asked to put one of these tasks on our blog. This is my poem. It was published in the school newsletter. It’s called ‘Destruction’. For more information, click here.

A city wrapped in devistation,

A house in complete destruction.

Homeless & scared,

People sickened, ruined & dead.

Unfortunate end,

For two towns of Japan.

Scars & poison,

Made by human hands.

Breath-taking sights,

Of a bomb so bright.

Suffering & destruction,

For all nearby.

Red blood everywhere,

Black ash covers the ground.

Horrifying events,

Ending life in the most sickening of ways.
